when I filled this space in ready for spring artweeks there were so many exhibitions and shows to look forward to! In the end I only did one small show this year, but have had time to develop my webshop further. As I write this I am busy packing pots to send to galleries for Christmas exhibitions, hoping that there will be no further lockdowns. I am very happy to be part of the Christmas show at ‘New Brewery Arts’ Cirencester, also in the Christmas exhibition at ‘The Ashgate Gallery, Farnham, and you can also find my work at ‘Fisherton Mill Gallery’, Salisbury.
I am planning a Christmas exhibition in my workshop in Headington, but at the moment I am not sure of dates, but it will be carefully planned for social distancing with hand sanitiser available etc. In any case, please note that all my work is available for sale, and can be posted, or delivered to arrive in good time for Christmas!
After ceramics training in the early 1990s I set up my first studio in Burford, and began teaching evening classes at Burford School. From the mid 1990s I taught and exhibited at Art in Action until its final year. Following a move of both house and studio to Worcestershire, my work continued to evolve from early earthenware to reduction fired stoneware. in 2009 I moved to France where I have a large converted cow shed where I both teach and work. I exhibit widely in France, and t.his year also at Art In Clay, Hatfield. My work is now in porcelain with coloured ash glazes inspired by Abstract Expressionist art. I have now a studio in Headington where I work for six months of the year.
