This is a busy year! I have been doing some teaching at the wonderful ‘Coaching Barn’, Little Stoke, besides running a pottery course in France. After Artweeks I am lookiing forward to exhibiting at ‘Celebrating Ceramics’ at Waterperry in July, and following that at ‘Art in Clay’ Hatfield House. I also will be doing some ‘Marché de Potiers’ in France during the summer, and then ‘Art in Clay Farnham in November.
UPDATE: Sadly most of these, including my Artweeks show, are now cancelled - but hoping that Art in Clay in November will still go ahead. I am currently in lockdown in France, so not even in my Headington studio! I have posted a video tour of my lovely workshop in france so that at least you will be able to see where I am working, and some of my pots. I am able to sell my work from my online shop, and can send from France, so do check out the website - details below.
After ceramics training in the early 1990s I set up my first studio in Burford, and began teaching evening classes at Burford School. From the mid 1990s I taught and exhibited at Art in Action until its final year. Following a move of both house and studio to Worcestershire, my work continued to evolve from early earthenware to reduction fired stoneware. in 2009 I moved to France where I have a large converted cow shed where I both teach and work. I exhibit widely in France, and t.his year also at Art In Clay, Hatfield. My work is now in porcelain with coloured ash glazes inspired by Abstract Expressionist art. I have now a studio in Headington where I work for six months of the year.
