This is my winter collection, mainly painted last year before the pandemic when I was free to travel to France and paint my father's village on The Lot River (and see him). I also went out frequently to Port Meadow to paint the sunsets across the River Thames flood plain and to University Parks to catch the bright winter sunlight. Please browse this gallery or visit me on my Instagram, Facebook, and my website, and do feel free to call or email me.
Featured also is the enterprise with my set-designer daughter, Phoebe, creating online workshops, please visit us @shakespeare_art_studio
My Artweek/Ashmolean Museum project, Creating Keepsakes, working with the charity ' Peeple ', is on display in the Greece Gallery until Feb 2021
I divide my time between painting and teaching. My teaching includes multiple projects with The Ashmolean Museum Education department, Life Drawing at The Ruskin Art School, a part-time job at St Clare's, and various other courses and workshops. As mentioned above, I have a new enterprise doing creative workshops online with my daughter. In my painting, I try to be adventurous with materials, continuing to explore encaustic and fresco techniques. Many years as a muralist and decorative painter still feed into my studio practice and my teaching techniques; but I find one of the most intense a pure creative experiences is painting 'en plein air'.
