I am sorry not to be able to open the doors and welcome you to what would have been the first Artweeks exhibition at my new studio. Instead I will be showing my sculptures, paintings, drawings, prints and cards from the “gallery” window at my home in Charlbury . I will also be showing hand thrown and decorated pottery by Christine Thornton. (7 Dyers Hill , Charlbury, OX7 3QD, at the top of the hill, up from the station, next to the Baptist church.) My work will also be available to buy online. FOR THE FULL CATALOGUE PLEASE CLICK IN THE LINK BELOW.
I am happy to undertake sculpture, painting and drawing commissions.
RAILWAY STUDIOS, is the exciting new studio space in lovely Charlbury, three minutes’ walk from the station, which I share with potter Martha Evans.
WORKSHOPS and courses in STONE CARVING, PAINTING, DRAWING and POTTERY at RAILWAY STUDIOS have been up and running very successfully since September and it has been fantastic to see such a variety of creative approaches and production.
We are very much looking forward to being able to put dates in the diary for upcoming courses and workshops. For information please visit the Studio website and sign up to receive the newsletter: www.railwaystudios.art
I grew up in Oxford and have a degree in Fine Art Sculpture from Wimbledon school of Art . After several years living and working in London I moved back to Oxfordshire. My early work was represented by the Odette Gilbert Gallery, Cork Street, London. More recent work has been exhibited at the Brian Sinfield Gallery in Burford, and I have opened my studio for many years during Artweeks and at Christmas.
I take inspiration from daily life, relationship, and the beauty of human and landscape forms. I use only natural materials: stone, pigment, canvas, charcoal, paper and ink.
