I am an Oxford-based photographer. Though I mostly do travel and social documentary photography, there are times when I am tempted to use my images more creatively. I view what I photograph as a fertile ground on which to build imagination and feelings. I see image processing merely as a language through which to communicate with the viewers and to take them on a visual journey that flourishes in the imagination. I prefer not to define my images by any specific expression, be it in B&W or colour. As one grows different crop on different soils so will my images differ from one series to next. What I think is important is the language or artistic style I choose to tell that particular story. For the Art Weeks I will be showing mostly a series of images on “Recurring Dreams of Oxford” – a collection of carefully blended photos that transform Oxford into a dreamland.
