Barbara studied ceramics at Bournemouth Art College in the 1970s and worked as a potter for many years; she learned to paint more recently at Sunningwell, Abingdon and Blewbury. She uses earthenware clay and acrylic paint with enthusiasm and enjoyment. Her other interests include folk music, bell ringing, morris dancing, writing poems, driving her morris minor, and looking for glow worms on dark nights.
