This year all of my prints can be seen and bought at my own venue during Artweeks
There will also be a selection of my artwork on display and for sale at at Blackwell's Art and Poster Shop, 27 Broad St, Oxford OX1 3BS.
I'm a self-taught printmaker and work from my kitchen table in Oxford. As an artist I love creating bold, colourful and unique linoprints. When printmaking I create images by hand-pressing paper onto an inked lino block and I'm attracted to the sometimes imperfect but delightful nature of this method of printing - to me this is the essence of creativity.
A nature lover at heart, I take inspiration from the Oxfordshire countryside and beyond, and I spend time researching the traditional stories, fairy tales and beliefs about animals that previous generations have created or used to make sense of the world around them. Using literature that resonates with the sentiment in the image I am making, I want to re-imagine these links and ideas we have with nature, in an effort to re-establish the connection and importance of these animals to us now.
