I have been a professional ceramicist since 2005 when I quit the day job and set up my garden studio. It was one of those now or never moments and I have not looked back since.
I work predominantly in white earthenware and gain inspiration from the landscape, flora and wildlife around me. I use the potters wheel as well as handbuilding techniques in my collections. My garden ceramics use a stoneware clay and are all frost proof so they can enhance your garden all year long.
Keen to encourage others I offer 1/2 and whole day workshops where students can learn more about making in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. No experience is necessary.
I have exhibited and sold at The Ashmolean Oxford, Compton Verney Warwickshire, art in the park Leamington, Warwickshire Open studios and regularly exhibit at and supply local retail outlets with my work. I exhibit at local and county events and organise art events in my area.
I am a regular speaker to WI's, Probus and art groups and offer an informative and lively presentation.
