I have a solo exhibition in The Mill arts centre, Banbury, during February 2019 and am also running landscape photography workshops for the RPS in April 2019.
I'm Nathan Barry - an Oxfordshire-based landscape photographer who chases simple and elegant compositions and the best natural lighting that nature can provide. I've been photographing seriously for around 6 years and now teach other people what I've learnt too. I came to photography relatively late in life after diverting my energy to music for a long time, learning many lessons along the way.
There's nothing special about my techniques or indeed my camera kit; nor does there need to be - it's the scene, composition and end result that count. I post-process photos, mainly using Lightroom, to bring out the best attributes inherent in the photo. I aim to achieve a natural and credible style; all images come from one shot, not blended or composite exposures, for example.
