Leila studied at Eastbourne School of art, following a graphic design course with print makers such as Robert Tavener. She draws inspiration from the Ridgeway where she has her studio, in the Vale of the White Horse. Her recent exhibition featured 12 canvases from a painting expedition to the Sierra Nevada mountains and surrounding Alpujarra villages in Spain during April and May 2018. Artworks are mainly in acrylics, although she uses oils, crayons; pen & ink and has recently produced a series of small stained glass leaves and hearts, as well as several stained glass panels featuring The Ridgeway. She teaches multi-media workshops with the emphasis on fun and having-a go. Leila's mantra is “ art is an ongoing adventure.”
