Amy takes inspiration from natures wonderful textures, shapes and forms. Semi precious stones and beads are combined with traditional and contemporary jewellery methods to make pieces that are comfortable and enjoyable to wear. Amy has been making jewellery since graduating from her BA (Hons) Designed Metalwork and Jewellery degree in 2001. Since then, she has successfully set up her studio and teaching school based in Cowley, at The Oxford Bead Shop, which she started in 2006. "I love the processes, techniques and tools used when i'm creating and enjoy working with customers to create something truly unique to them. I also enjoy passing on my jewellery making knowledge through teaching a variety of classes & workshops to adults and children. It's wonderful seeing someone achieve something they never thought they would!" Amy's jewellery workshops can be viewed on her website www.amysurman.com or visit her social media accounts...
