In January I picked up a 5ft blank hare. The painted hare will be part of the Cotswold Hare Trail 2018 with around 90 others and will be sold in October to support initiatives devoted the preservation of the British Countryside in the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB).
I am a local artist and love the British countryside. So a project that combines helping to look after the countryside by using my art is brilliant.

Paul Klee said: A line is a dot that went for a walk.
That thought makes me smile.
I imagine my dots to dance!
I am an expressive contemporary oil painter, painting in a gestural abstractive way. I enjoy playing with paint and express my playful side through my choice of narrative and the painterly application of paint onto canvas and board. My technical focus is on expressive mark making, colour and glazing in a contemporary manner.
My style is influenced by classical masters such as Matisse, Klimt, Monet, Diebenkorn, Eardley and Turner for their use of colour, composition, abstraction and Gestalt as well as contemporary painters such as Jeremy Mann, Eric Aho, Per Kirkeby, Howard Sherman and Martin Kinnear.
I am learning from their work through thorough study of their techniques and artistic evolvement. I aim to apply selected techniques, learned from the masters, into my paintings in a contemporary way to create unique pieces of work.
I finished my Diploma at the Norfolk Painting School under Martin Kinnear in July 2016 and am now teaching traditional and contemporary oil painting classes in Norfolk and here in Oxfordshire. Groups and Individuals, just get in touch.
