Shared Visions Shared Lives is a celebratory exhibition of the work of couple, Briony and Andrew Lawson in their family home in Charlbury. Displaying two artists who have worked side-by-side for over 45 years, the exhibition brings together key paintings, sculpture, photographs and drawings. Set in the home and garden that they have occupied since 1982, the exhibition celebrates a couple who have spent a life dedicated to creating beautiful spaces. A newly published book with essays by Tim Richardson and Peter Stiles will accompany the exhibition and be available to buy alongside the works.
For over five decades Briony has worked in wood, stone and clay and has drawn much of her inspiration from the wild landscape of her native North Devon coast. She continues to work on the organic forms that surround her in nature and especially in the beautiful garden created by her husband, Andrew.
