Our press coverage is almost always positive and happy because that's the overriding ethos of Artweeks artists and venues. However the traffic queues because of the Botley Bridge closure, the A34 road weekend road closures and other oradworks in neighbouring localities have made dozens of venues almost totally inaccessible, in Wolvercote, West Oxford, Botley and Cumnor for example. The Oxfordshire Craft Guild have sadly had to cancel their Wytham exhibition scheduled for this weekend.
The traffic chaos on all the surrounding roads has also a significant impact in nearby towns like Eynsham, Kidlington and, Woodstock, as many people sought to avoid driving anywhere near the city and its ringroad.
