It took time to make a Turner of me. My mentor Paul Wilcocks at the Bell House Turnery in Surrey and world renowned turners Melvyn Firmager in Somerset and Angus Clyne in Perthshire all played a part in shaping my style which was first nurtured at West Dean College in Sussex. My style is to let the wood shape the outcome. Whether it is a burr or a spalted wood, a hollow form or an open one you can't make wood do what it doesn't want to do. Turning is a partnership of Turner and material. I hope you like the result.
