Fuelled by a fascination for the process of painting and picture-making, the work is grounded in the endless possibilities which painting offers. Having long been interested in the dichotomy of abstraction and representation inherent to the medium, the work simultaneously explores the relationships and tensions between humans, nature and the world we live in, and the making and interpretation of images.
