This is my first time showing at Artweeks and as a latecomer to my own art practice, my work shows me running to make up time. Line drawings in ink and pastel pay homage to artists known and less known. The catch-up game is impossible but it’s fun to experiment with composition and scale, using colour washes and inks. Some images are of figures in semi-abstract landscapes, others try out composition, filling the space, whether sketchbook thumbnails or larger images on paper. I’ve discovered I do have a style and a particular palette and prefer there to be people
