Now only open Saturdays 7th & 14th.
Working in different media, but inspired by the same idea of the captured moment, Emma and Francesca's chance meeting whilst sketching in the Parks this autumn has inspired this joint exhibition. Emma’s light and instinctive drawings in charcoal, chalk and pencil, made throughout the year on her near daily visits, and Francesca’s small paintings in oil and gouache celebrate the diversity of trees within the Parks, the changing colours and light across the seasons and the importance of this beautiful space in the daily lives of local walkers, runners and families. Emma's original works including framed charcoal drawings and a selection of the daily sketches and Francesca's hand-worked glicee prints will be displayed in situ in the iconic Victorian Cricket Pavilion (built 1881), at the heart of the Parks. Artists' postcards and refreshments, proceeds to charity, also available.
