Alison's work explores the energy, movement and effects of light and time in the natural world. Her mainly abstract, paintings and drawings, are bold, colourful and expressive. Her process often begins with walks, drawings and photos taken, outside in the landscape or near the coast. These experiences are then transformed into paintings or pastel drawings where thoughts about the metaphorical aspects of our relationship with the natural world come to the surface.
