Sarah makes jewellery in silver and gold using small repeated elements, usually cubes, which move individually creating undulating surfaces. There is a playful quality as the individual elements shift and alter the surface.
In her pieces Sarah is thinking about the sensation that we might have standing in a field or beneath a large tree, where the individual stems or leaves are the same shape but each slightly different. There is a meditative quality in knowing what the next shape will be and with the accumulation of many elements and their movement.
