Sarah makes jewellery in silver and gold using small repeated elements, usually cubes, which move individually creating undulating surfaces. There is a playful quality as the individual elements shift and alter the surface.
In her use of repetition, Sarah is trying to capture the sensation that we might have as we stand in a field of wheat or beneath a large tree, whose individual stems or leaves are the same shape but each slightly different. There is a meditative quality in knowing what the next shape will be and with the accumulation of many elements and their movement.
