Inspired by the human need to connect with the natural world, I paint imagined and inspired washy landscapes using limited watercolour palettes. Guiding the paint around with whatever comes to hand, often including items from *that* drawer in the kitchen, I am a new, self-taught artist from Islip.
Although I work full time for the NHS, I had the time and space to really focus on painting during the first lockdown. I am obsessed with bothies, barns and trees, and often use my memories of place for inspiration. At other times a lone house can conjure enough to inspire a sense of desolation and peacefulness. This is my first exhibition, where I will also show my British wildlife watercolours.
Parking nearby in Summertown car park, plenty of food and drink nearby, and access for wheelchairs although ground is uneven.
