Sophia Stewart Liberty has shown her peaceful watercolour landscapes for Art Weeks for the last few years. In her work she attempts to capture fleeting atmospheric moments of magic in landscape, where light is paramount, and colour and pattern running a close second. Olivia uses newspaper, wallpaper and other papers to collage images of the Buddha onto discarded fruit boxes. Interested in the vibration of colour, her work points to the ecstatic stillness which exists in the midst of a consumerist, fast-paced and disposable society.
This is the first time the sisters have shown their work together and they are are excited to see the ways their work will inter-relate.
