Margaret Peach grew up in Somerset and Anglesey and has an Honours Degree in Fine Art from Reading University.
She has travelled all over the British Isles to do commissioned paintings, mainly portraits from life. In addition she has always enjoyed painting the changing light and seasons in Scotland and since a recent move to Watlington, in the Thames Valley, the Chilterns and Oxford. These paintings have formed the basis for sixteen solo exhibitions.
She has exhibited at the Royal Society of Portrait Painters and the Royal Scottish Academy. A recent portrait of Douglas Hall, who pioneered the setting up of the Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art has been acquired by the Scottish National Portrait Gallery.
