My paintings describe the atmospheric landscape that is Otmoor. A hidden jewel in Oxfordshire beloved of artists, poets and writers. Flat fenland of streams and grasses that is home to many varieties of wildlife. Winter rains transform it into a shallow lake which attracts a great number of wintering wildfowl and flocks of lapwings and golden plover. This is what inspires me as a painter. I love to portray the golden colours of the grasses being caught in the low winter light and reflections in the flooded meadows.
