Valerie designs and makes contemporary jewellery in silver and coloured golds. Designs have simple clean cut lines and are inspired by an interest in architecture, man-made artefacts and more lately the sea. She makes wearable pieces in lightly textured silver with delicate details in rose gold. She also makes wedding rings and special presents to commission using gold, silver and stones. She has a degree from Sheffield Poly School of Art, and a Goldsmiths’ Company Graduate apprenticeship. She was jeweller in residence at South Hill Park Arts Centre. Her studio is a former punt-builders’ workshop in Oxford. She has exhibited and sold her work at many venues including the Goldsmiths’ Fair, Dazzle and UK design galleries. Her work is in various collections including Green College Oxford, Sheffield Assay Office and National Museum of Scotland. Valerie teaches adult jewellery courses at the City of Oxford College.
Parking available at Hinksey Park for small fee.
