Come explore the thought provoking, fun and functional art of Miranda and Marcus. This year we will be opening up the themes of personal and collective identity. We are part of the well established and ever evolving wocART collective. Showing at the West Oxford Community Centre where you can also get a great cup of tea at the Cafe.
The artists: Miranda Miller identifies as an artist who enjoys creativity and not pinning herself down to the usual description. Expect the unexpected in mixed media, clay, paint metal paper textile paintings and assemblages.
Marcus Wattam identifies as a cis male from Oxford, or maybe from Skegness, but what about his job and art, what does he eat, did he vote and does it all matter to our identities? These questions aren’t all solved by pottery, but a cup of tea is often a conversation starter. Marcus makes homeware using simple and striking lines in colour and form.
