I am an amateur ceramicist and work at home in my pottery at the back of the garden, where I look out one way on a field and horses, and the other way into the garden. I also go to the studio of my teacher, Jane Hanson. I am slowly getting together some glazes of my own, but until now Jane has much better ones than I do. Actually I really like painting, so the art is in the painting rather than the glaze. At home I have my pottery studio, another small workroom next to it where I have a small electric kiln. Outside under a shelter and behind my shed (where I can make plaster moulds away from the pottery) I have a gas kiln, which I am beginning to use.
I shall be displaying in my conservatory, but visitors will be able to look round the workshops.
