Re-scheduled to August 29th to September 6th (pending conditions allowing)
I have 2 kilns in my studio; I rent a ‘Hot Shop’ in Stourbridge to blow and hot work glass. This I can combine with the recycled Dartington glass in my studio to make sculptural and functional pieces. The series of work called ‘Meltwater’ is based on the affinity of glass with ice and water, in the context of climate change. I am also .making a more light-hearted group of vases, called Jelly Pots because when I started they were the colours of jellybeans, now I am including gold and silver leaf. A degree from High Wycombe has allowed me to combine and develop several techniques and the material itself is always leading me forward. For Art Weeks I am showing in cu_cucine, 36 Couching Street, Watlington, OX49 4QQ in their show room. From Tuesday 5th there will be more work and refreshments in our garden opposite, at Wynd House, 27A.
