My initial drawings are made while walking in the wonderful wild British landscape. These drawings form the basis for my etchings, which sometimes require two or more overlapping copper plates to create contrast and depth in the image. I have been printmaking for over 20 years, experimenting with this versatile technique and communicating through my original handmade prints the beauty of nature that inspires me. This includes expressive landscapes, large botanical etchings and small magical glimpses of the natural world.
The exhibition is held in a historic 18th century basement gallery with fellow printmakers as part of Tree Lane Three. There will be afternoon demonstrations on a large etching press plus tea in the garden.
