Artist information

I took up painting when I retired from a long career in nursing. It was something I had always promised myself to try. I enjoy seeing an image emerge and develop, and find that creative feeling very satisfying.

I have taken part in Artweeks several times , as well as exhibiting at local shows ,and love to meet people interested in art.

On a Monday afternoon I meet with five artist friends and we paint and chat , drink tea and put the world to rights! Perfect !

Exhibition information

I use water mixable oils to paint with at the moment, but have also worked with pastels and watercolour.

I paint a wide variety of subjects but my favourites are horses , glass, flowers and landscapes.

I love to use shadows and light effects and reflections, particularly in glass or water.
