I originally studied art at Hornsey College of Art and then went on to study Film and Photography at the Regent Street Polytechnic. I am interested in the aesthetics of photography but also in its potential for generating community engagement and social and educational development. I have travelled widely and worked on sustainable development projects in Zambia, Malawi, Uganda, India and Nepal. Polaroids not only have their own aesthetic power but are invaluable as a vehicle for engaging people. They can, of course, also be considered as unique (or not?). Last year we also travelled on some of the Silk Route across Uzbekistan - a culture rich in distinctive imagery.
