Using traditional Monochrome techniques, John takes the images using natural light conditions, he then develops the film and print, having full control over the end result, colours and toners are used to add further effect and hints of colour. The result offers a magical image that involves the viewer in a new way. His pictures tell a story – a different story to all who take a little extra time to stand back a little and stare.
John’s original idea was to produce images that would awaken a child’s imagination – just as you see The Man on The Moon, Faces in the Clouds. In his images stones, trees and animals have faces, personalities, take part in legendary stories and have a life of their own.
These highly individual images will appeal to children and adults alike. So take a step forward to view then stand back and stare and see what you see.
They are unique and cannot be reproduced exactly as the original prints. John scans and prints copies of the original if requested.
