Some artists lose themselves in the real, Jay loses herself in the world of the imagination. Her work expresses concepts and possibilities. The mundane or well known take a different twist. In her most recent works "Different Worlds, Different Rules", with the inspiration of Hiroshige she reaches out into the unknown universe, where the familiar becomes not quite so familiar.
The artist’s work has exhibited in London and in other galleries in the UK and Europe. Her images have been published in the UK and US. In 2016, she was one of 90 artists selected to celebrate the Queen's 90th birthday by working at Windsor Castle. She has been an International Art Slant winner and since gaining her MA (Oxford Brookes) specialising in Drawing, Jay has also achieved post-graduate certificates in Western and Chinese Classics (Tsinghau University, China) and Science in Art: Chemistry of Art Materials and Conservation (Trinity College, Hartford, Connecticut).
