Respected authors Mary Hoffman and Linda Newbery will be at Deddington Library on Thursday April 22 to talk about the importance of art, specifically carving in stone, in their respective novels: Mary's David: the Unauthorised Autobiography and The One True Thing.
Artweeks makes a significant appearance in The One True Thing, and Linda Newbury will talk about how the novel grew and was helped by her association with former Artweeks exhibitor stone-carver Bernard Johnson.
Mary Hoffman's novel, set in Renaissance Italy, is about the (fictitious) model for Michelangelo's David.
