MAEVE BAYTON
Maeve’s artwork is inspired by her deep emotional attachment to the British landscape. She continually experiments with a variety of media including acrylic paint, watercolour, collage, linocuts, and screen printing.
GILL HEATON
Gill paints in oils, concentrating mostly on wildlife and nature, with occasional forays into portraiture and landscape. She likes bold colours and a slightly stylized approach to her representational work.
ELLA KEEN
Ella weaves on a traditional four-shaft floor loom, working predominantly with natural fibres like wool (from the small flock she looks after) and linen. Her aim is to create beautiful textiles that are also useful.
DAVID MASON
David is mainly an earthenware potter using coloured slips with a clear glossing glaze fired in an electric kiln. The heart of his potting is to make pots that can be used every day and are attractive to the user. He has also experimented with wood firing and has learnt many new skills and techniques some of which he has translated into his earthenware pots.
CATHERINE RYE
Catherine creates work in fabric and on panels using paint, dye and stitch, and with monoprinting and cyanotypes. Her garden and surrounding countryside provide both inspiration and plant material which she incorporates directly into her work. She shares her methods through her YouTube channel: A Creative Garden.
RAE SELLEN
Rae hand makes laminated wooden mirrors and small wooden products for the home, inspired by forms from the natural world. She finds off-cuts which would otherwise go to waste, using UK grown timber where possible. She celebrates the beauty of different wood species, making practical pieces that are tactile and bring joy.
YOLANDE WYER
Yolande is a mixed media artist, using acylic, charcoal & graphite, but also making prints and collages. She draws inspiration from places and landscapes and also frequently from architecture in particular. For this exhibition she will concentrate on making mini art pieces on panels.
