Otmoor Art Fair is returning to Islip Village Hall for its biennial art fair. With more than twenty artists, designer-makers, ceramists and photographers from across the local area, largely producing their art inspired by the environment and the local area, the zero-waste fair will be held on 16th and 17th October for Christmas purchases for others or for yourself! This year’s fair is going back to nature and largely features artists who are inspired by, and care about the natural world. The organisers plan to run their first zero-waste event and are encouraging people to car-share, use the train or cycle to Islip to visit. The full list of artists taking part is: Gill Heaton, Sarah Hanner Hopwood, William North, Paul Tomlinson, Rae Sellen, Thomas Shepherd, Claire Brooks, Kamal Lathar, David Mason, Maeve Bayton, Peter Collins, Colin Tuffrey, Alexandra Buckle, Hazel Childs, Adam Childs, Sue Ellis, Andrea Bates, Karen Joy, Drew McKnight, Casimira Mostyn, Jenny Quayle, Fi McFall, Heather Power. Visitors are invited to browse and purchase paintings, pots, prints and more at the perfect time before the busy festive season, or for a gift for themselves from this vibrant local community. There will also be a chance to win an original artwork in the art-themed raffle. Several of the exhibitors have donated paintings as prizes, or art books and materials. Entry for visitors is free and home-made refreshments will be on sale throughout. There is a mainline train station at Islip, which is also a regular route for those travelling through by bike or walking the Oxfordshire Way. Free parking is also available.
