I started designing and making jewellery in my small studio in Faringdon following classes and courses in silversmithing and jewellery making. Each piece is designed and made by me and I love nothing more than dreaming up new designs and then hammering and soldering silver and gold, or choosing from the whole spectrum of colours to be found in old and new semi-precious beads and stones. I have my own maker’s mark with the Birmingham Assay Office and silver and gold will be hallmarked when required. I strive for simplicity and I try to hold on to the idea that less is more.
The name Town and Green is an amalgamation of surnames at the same time as being a reflection of where we live - on the edge of a small historic market town in the beautiful country of the ancient Vale of the White Horse.
