Kim Major-George is an established printmaker / author who works with Collagraph, a textured form of hand-pulled printing using a traditional printing press. Kim will be showing her new collection of hand-pulled prints featuring a technique called 'blind embossing' which is to be the subject matter of her new Masterclass booklet she is currently working on.
Kim is joining - 'Bicester Art Network', a large group of artists exhibiting together as part of the Oxfordshire Art Weeks in Sheep Street, Bicester Town Centre.
Kim, an established printmaker known for her unusual approach to printing, uses innovative finishes and techniques, produces a new collection each year, exhibits her work widely and has written 3 technical printing books, “Collagraph, a journey through texture” and two advanced Masterclass editions : "All Cracked Up" and "All that Glitters - can be Gold".
After graduating from art college in the 70’s, Kim art career has spanned over 40 years ranging from designing for interiors, freelance surface pattern and illustrating for many high profile clients.
Kim spends her year developing new innovative techniques, which she teaches from her studio, and exhibiting in solo and group exhibitions up and down the country.
