Acrylic paintings inspired by patterns in nature, focusing on trees and foliage of our local woodlands and hedgerows.

My exhibition celebrates the natural world, observing patterns formed by the shadows of trees on a woodland floor, or the silhouette of branches against a bright sky, or the phenomenon of crown shyness where tree canopies don't touch, or the shapes of overlapping leaves and how light falls through . It also looks at the beauty of hedgerow plants, which often get overlooked. It is about the peace and tranquility of stepping into nature, and taking the time to appreciate aspects that we may not normally notice.
