This is a large exhibition of almost 40 paintings, predominantly rural and urban landscapes. I think I am going to leave it to one of my visitors to describe it, The following is my most favourite comment in my Visitors Book. It reads 'Landscapes you could walk into . . .'.
Once a chemistry teacher and looking for a new interest in my retirement, I went to a Drawing for Beginners class and discovered, to my amazement that I could draw. This has since developed into much, much more than a retirement interest and this is my 16th Artweeks exhibition. I have been to many more classes since the first one and have been very fortunate in all my teachers but would like to give a special mention to Francis Pratt at the Painting School of Montmiral in S.W. France and Steve Empson here in Oxford. Thankyou both.
I call all my exhibitions 'Voyages of Discovery' because every painting is a voyage of discovery for me. There is always something new to discover.
