Most of my photography is of the sea, but also includes landscape and woodland in Oxfordshire and elsewhere.
For Artweeks 2022 most work is from the Isles of Scilly, Tiree and Coll, the Outer Hebrides and Cornwall, with a smattering of North Norfolk.
My inspiration has always come directly from colour and light, but the composition and style has always been influenced by impressionist and abstracted paintings rather than other photography. The images are simple in composition but convey the feeling of the place they were taken, often by framing multiple prints together. They all aim to show the beauty of the natural world and the great outdoors.
