Derwent House is a local, independent interiors store and home to British craft and makers in Witney, Oxfordshire.
Inspired by the wealth of design talent and craft skills we have in Britain, Derwent House was founded by three friends to bring together a collection of individually handcrafted furniture, fabrics and homewares, alongside work by local artists under one roof. Our approach is to reveal the stories behind the products, how they are made and the people that made them.
You will find handcrafted furniture, printed and woven textiles, and unique ceramics, glass and homewares from a collective of over 25 emerging and established furniture designers, craft makers and artisans.
Derwent House is currently hosting Table Manners – a buying exhibition of all manner of tables – dining, console, desk, coffee and lamp – ranging from the classical to the contemporary, the functional and quirky. From well-established names to newer, Oxfordshire based makers, Table Manners is a fascinating and unique opportunity to see a diverse range of tables under one roof, made by some of the most talented furniture designer-makers working in Britain today. On during Artweeks until the end of May 2022.
For Artweeks Derwent House is also delighted to be exhibiting the work of a fabulous group of local artists: Laura Middleton, Anuk Naumann, Mary Knowland, Caroline Chappell, Sarah Darby, Myrica Jones, Silvi Shaumloeffel, Jessica Parker and Zoe Cripps.
