I am a printmaker based in South Oxfordshire.
This year I will be showing at the beautiful All Saints Church, North Moreton, which is between Wittenham Clumps & Didcot.
Although my first foray into printmaking began when I was an art student at the Ruskin, my father’s passion was typography, amongst many other things, so ink was a very familiar smell in the house.
The Ruskin School of Art subterranean print-room at the time (1976) was like an alchemist’s cave. That magic of what print can do, has never left me.
I am now fortunate enough to be part of Oxford Printmakers Co-operative, which enables me to access the much required extensive range of equipment and resources.
It is also an inspiring place to meet other like-minded artists.
Subject material: currently often the wide sweep of the Berkshire Downs, but also archaeological material culture which stems from a childhood spent on a roman villa site, falling down spoil heaps.
Additionally I have made many greetings cards of my works.
