Being an avid observer of life I enjoy the challenge of capturing the likeness, character and spirit of whatever catches my eye, be it landscape, objects or people. With a basic palette of six or seven colours and a figurative style I begin by drawing outlines and shapes, developing a structure on which to build with colour and tone, using mainly oils, watercolour or charcoal on paper or canvas. Although restricted to working on a smaller scale due to the size of my tiny studio I love being lost in that creative space where time seems to stand still.
I am open to commissions, please email me to discuss : kayjamieson_7@hotmail.com
