I'm exhibiting in the North, with the Oxfordshire Craft Guild in Chipping Norton Town Hall. Then with Friends in the home of Judith and Mike Berger in Oxford. And finally in my garden Studio, opposite the church in Waterstock, South Oxon.
I studied ceramics at the Royal College of Art after gaining a degree in Industrial Design in South Africa, where I was born.
With a love of colour, I started experimenting with glaze materials to explore surfaces, and with additions or metal oxides in a variety of base glazes I have the possibility of endless experimentation and a mulitude of colours. Then by combing layers of glaze, that flow together in a gas kiln, fired to around 1300ºC, I get more inspiration for the next test!
I like my pottery to be finely thrown, beutiful and functional, using a high fired, stoneware clay.
