I have been painting for about twenty years, having previously hesitated to do so since school in the 1960s. Now, with other directions in life coming into the foreground, the emotion in landscape has begun to take over, and here we are.
I am nowhere near mastering watercolour, and every picture is an experiment with an outcome which is unknown at the start. I also write, and since the 1980s have published quite widely on the history of art and science.
Most of the paintings here are sold unframed, but for people living in or around Kidlington I can arrange framing at cost. I usually frame them in plain black, with a mount for the A4 size.
These were painted during the 2020-21 lockdowns, month-by-month.
