As a landscape painter and being so many months in isolation I have found working only from my sketchbooks and memory has not come naturally. My virtual exhibition consists of imagined or influenced landscapes
I am looking forward to the year ahead with hopefully more freedom and the possibility of an autumn exhibition with my local art friends in the village of Chacombe, as well as Christmas Artweeks.
I was born a Warwickshire city girl but always with the countryside in my heart. So it is not surprising that I am a landscape painter mostly of the countryside around me, Northamptonshire, Oxfordshire and seascapes of Dorset and Devon.
My work is mainly in acrylics and ink in a semi abstract style using my sketch books and photography. Painting envelops me in a world of shapes and colour, accompanied by music and my little dog Charlie, my constant companion: what better way to spend time?
