My collection of work this year is all about returning to nature and enjoying the textures, colours and scent that ones from flowers, plants, the sea and open spaces.
I adore flowers and always love having a fresh bunch in the house, to brighten up the space and to bring the outside in.
It is this love for nature and the outdoors that has led me to create floral wreaths for any occasion, with fresh, dried and synthetic flowers.
I have also created a range of resin gifts, such as coasters, place mats, candle plates and more. That will bring together the sea, plants, shapes and patterns, to create gifts that are perfect for a 'quick pick me up' or as a gift for that special someone.
Alongside these makes I will be offering a dance and art work shop that will explore the theme; Nature. This session will see those who join think about what they love about nature and the beautiful spaces around them and how this makes them feel. Collectively, participants will experience some mindfulness and some gentle free movement, which will then see everyone contributing to a group piece of art. That will be shared in Art Weeks. This session will follow all of England's social distancing rules and if you would like to find out more, please do contact me on the below details.
Thought my virtual shop does sell premade gifts, I created it initially so that I could create bespoke gifts, that are unique to each person.
In my gallery you will be able to see examples of my work, and items that are currently ready for sale. However I would encourage you to contact me if there is anything you would like, that can be tailored to your wishes. I will be able to let you know what options are available, cost and expected time frame for your order to be completed in.
Throughout May and June all purchases through Shooting Star Bespoke Gifts, will automatically receive 10% off, as a thank you for supporting my new venture.
If throughout art weeks you are curious about seeing what’s going on in the market town of Wallingford, then please do come and check out Ayres House Studio. Where 11 artist, from a range of talent and artistic backgrounds will be sharing and selling works, as well as promoting workshops, classes and much more.
I look forward to meeting you all very soon & I hope you have fun exploring and discovering new and established artists who are creating and making in Oxfordshire.
I have always been creative, so this has seen me train and try out new ventures in dance and performance, dressmaking, resin, wreaths and candle making.
I have danced since the age of two and a half years old, training in a range of dance style right here in the market town of Wallingford. I was then awarded a scholarship to train professional in Coventry and then in London.
Last year for Art Weeks I shared my film collection created with my dance collective Neoteric Dance Company. Sharing works that explored form and figure, the sea/nature, Covid-19 and the experiences held by those in the military community. This year I will be offering one dance with nature workshop that will see dance and art making come together in one space to create something truly unique and in the moment. This will be through my wellbeing company- Move Into Freedom.
This last year has been very trying for everyone and it was whilst I was stuck at home that I started to get into making items with Resin and getting into wreath making for all occasions. I opened up a MadeMe UK virtual shop and am hoping to sell premade and bespoke gifts to those in the UK.
I am very excited to see where this new venture will take me. My hope is that I will be able to run my virtual store alongside my other work.
Please follow my IG account @Shooting_Star_Bespoke_Gifts, to get to know me a bit more, to see what is being created and to be the first to know about offers and seasonal makes.
Thank you for checking out my page and I hope to see you in person at Ayres House Studios in Wallingford or virtually.
