This year I have included collage work after discovering an artist Este Mcleod and other artists artwork such as carrieschmitt on instagram who have greatly inspired me to start to produce more collage work on paper using deli sheets which have been painted on and then cut into various shapes to produce beautiful collage work including poppies, and various different flowers and leaves. I am always drawn to original and quirky styles using bright and vibrant colours. I tend to hate the mundane, though I do love L S Lowrie's work where in fact Lowrie was very drawn to the mundane side of life but it is his quirky style where he paints from the heart in his own style which is so attractive. Until the pandemic I hardly used instagram but I have fallen in love with it and discovered so much talent where you feel as if you are entering in to someones studio or sitting room and are being invited to share experiences which you would otherwise not be able to do.
