I am very excited to be exhibiting this year at the Bicester Hotel & Spa, Chesterton, Bicester, Oxfordshire, OX26 1TH along with 30 other members of Bicester Art Network and Bicester Sculpture Group.
I will be showing my latest work which covers mainly landscapes and Still Life, a very different style from my previous Artweeks exhibitions.
Most of my recent work on display was created using digital technology, which has been very challenging and exciting.
My pieces come in different formats: handmade greeting cards 14x14cm, mounted prints 25x25cm, framed 25x25cm and finally, mounted & framed 30x30cm.
Since starting exhibiting and selling my art in 2018, I have been using a variety of mediums including mixed medium, acrylic/collage, watercolour but I have recently discovered digital technology. I am self-taught and love experimenting; my approach to art is simple: “give it a try and see where it takes you”. This transpires in my latest pieces which could not be any further from where I started: art for children v landscapes/Still Life and sometimes dramatic sceneries.
I believe that this change in my style has come from the lockdown that we have all experienced and this has brought back memories of happy moments abroad and at home with my family.
I have selected a variety of pieces/styles for this year’s exhibition.
