Exhibition information

I’m exhibiting artwork created using a variety of media, including paint, collage, pastels and crayons. Most pieces consist of many layers.

Artist information

I am an emerging mixed media artist and love to create colourful, playful abstracts with a variety of colours, shapes, patterns and textures. I always have an intention in mind when I paint, but experimentation and ‘trial and error’ often lead me to create something unexpected. I find the process of making a painting challenging, totally absorbing and a lot of fun!

I take inspiration from numerous sources. I enjoy visiting galleries, taking part in online and in-person workshops, and following my favourite artists on social media. I am constantly exploring different techniques and gleaning ideas for things I can explore in my work.

I am particularly drawn to abstract art because of the ambiguous nature of it, the way it can suggest very different things to different people. I am also very interested in landscape and still life, and am keen to explore different ways of balancing the abstract and the realistic in my work.

I live in Witney, Oxfordshire, and paint at home.
